Chapter 18, Lights Summary
Ashley's curiosity is aroused by Watkins's visit to Cooley's bookshop. To allay his suspicious mind, he pays a visit to the bookshop, but Cooley's assistant, Beatrix, is there. Ashley talks with Beatrix and learns that Cooley makes frequent visits to Ireland. He takes this new clue to Commander Owens. The word "Ireland" puts the information in a totally new perspective and now Dennis Cooley is a person of Interest. There's nothing more yet, just a lead to be checked out. His frequent trips to Ireland are confirmed through his travel agent.
Ryan's work at the CIA now includes the satellite reconnaissance data, specifically areas on the Libyan desert in North Africa.
