Chapter 11, Warnings Summary
Jack Ryan's first day back teaching history at the Naval Academy and his forty third-classmen pay close attention to his lecture but have no questions when he is done lecturing. Rather, one of the students comes forward to present Dr. Ryan with an award, named the Order of the Purple Target. Their advice is that when it happens the next time he is to duck. Back at his office with Robby Jackson, Ryan has a visit from FBI agent Bill Shaw. Bill is acting on the call he received from Dan Murray. Both FBI agents believe that the ULA is unlikely to strike in the US, Shaw, however, tells Ryan to see it as an insurance policy, to be aware, to vary routines, to simply be watchful. Robby takes Shaw's warning to heart and takes Ryan to meet Sergeant Major Noah...
