Chapter 9, A Day for Celebration Summary
Christmas Eve at the Ryan home finds Jack and Cathy assembling the vast number of toys Santa is to bring for Sally. Jack presents Cathy with a gold necklace; at about that time back in England, officials are moving Sean Miller from the Briton Prison to his new location on the Isle of Wright. Sean Miller is too valuable for the ULA to lose, so a daring rescue has been planned. With information from their inside sources, the terrorists are not confused by the three diversionary vans the police used to prevent just such an attempt. In Sean Miller's van is Robert Highland, the only police guard who had shown Miller any mercy. Miller had once been attacked and sodomized by fellow prisoners; Highland had stopped the attack and had gotten medical attention for him...
