Chapters 11 & 12 Summary

Versailles, France: 1723. Luce emerges from her Announcer shocked to be underwater. After thrashing about, she realizes that she is underwater in a shallow bathtub. Bill informs Luce that in this lifetime, she is the Princess of Savoy, and on this very night, her past self is to meet Sun King's Prince. As Luce and Bill are discussing the evening plans, the door swings open and a young chambermaid is shocked to find Luce - Princess Elizabeth (Lys) - in the bathtub with all her clothes on. Thinking quickly, Luce convinces the chambermaid to find her clothes for the ball tonight, and not to ask any questions! When the maid finishes, Luce is dressed in the most gorgeous black taffeta gown and emerald heels with inlaid lace flowers.
