Everything with the musical is going perfectly. When it's time for the finale, Mia is looking for JP but he's missing. Then, she sees someone in JP's costume, but it isn't JP.

It is Michael in JP's costume. After the finale when the audience is going crazy with applause, Mia finds out that JP, Lilly and Michael concocted a plan to have Michael and JP switch places for the finale. After they are out of their costumes, Mia verifies that Michael forgives her. Michael apologizes for being an absentee boyfriend. He also tells Mia that he doesn't want a party girl for a girlfriend. All he wants is her.
