Summary
In Chapter Four, Max arrives in his DC apartment that he shares with his former college roommate and member of the House of Representatives Wes Crawford. It is revealed that Max hires a cleaner to make up for his lack of neatness. Wes returns with pizza and thanks Max for letting Wes’s cousin stay in Max’s home in L.A. Wes asks who Max is texting and Max tells him about Olivia. Wes jokes that Max is looking for a wife so he can run for president, and Max silently admits he is lonely around other candidates who have significant others. He explains he had to leave because a woman named Kara warned him about a leak to the press about the General Attorney. Wes tells Max to not sleep with Olivia as he always jumps into things...
