Chapters 36 through 39 Summary

In chapter thirty-six, the group comes up with a plan. Kira divides the cure into three doses so the entire cure won't be lost if Kira is killed. Their plan is to get Kira to the hospital, sneak her into the back door. There is discussion about the dangers, but Kira points out that a child who grows past the first days of life is worth the risk. They arrive at the outskirts to discover the city has been barricaded. In chapter thirty-seven, they have to sneak through and Kira is shot. It seems impossible to get them inside but Kira comes up with a plan. She tells the others to take her captive, go to the front door of the hospital, and announce she's been caught, then get her inside. They all think it's risky but don't have a better...
