Summary
In Chapter 11, Hang finally arrives in Moscow and bids farewell to the man on the train. She goes to the hospital, but her uncle is not there. She is directed to the university housing and finally arrives at an apartment where her uncle is cooking a feast for a group of men with whom he does business. The men are kind to Hang and since she is recovering from an illness, allow her to sleep and eat. When she wakes, one young man, whom she recognizes from university in Vietnam, tells her all her uncle wants is her money and help translating since she is fluent in Russian. He gives her money to give to the uncle, since he can tell she doesn’t have it. She takes the long train ride back to her apartment and another telegram is waiting for her: her aunt...
