Chapters 1 and 2 Summary

Katie Ellison is waitressing at the Gull n Gulp for the summer. She's best friends with Sidney van der Hoff. Katie's boyfriend is the kicker for their high school football team, Seth Turner. The waitstaff saves the corner booth for Quahogs, which is the nickname the town uses for the football players. While Katie seats her boyfriend and his friends in the corner booth and takes their order, Sidney points out that Morgan Castle is at a table with Eric Flutely. When Katie is coming out of the kitchen with one of the patron's birthday cake, Eric takes the cake from Katie, puts it down, grabs and kisses Katie.

Katie is on her cell phone in the bathroom with Sidney. Sidney is insisting she knows why Morgan was in the Gull n Gulp tonight, even though she is a vegan. Katie...
