Chapter Four Summary

Chapter Four, Now

Tack, Raven and Lena go to the big DFA demonstration in New York City. The demonstration is about whether early procedures should be done. The DFA says yes, but not all are convinced. Tack and Raven have given Lena specific instructions to not lose sight of Julian Fineman and to follow him no matter what. Lena is unsure of why she needs to do this. Right before they separate at the demonstration Tack insists that she take an umbrella and put it in her backpack.

At the demonstration, a group called the Scavengers attacks everyone and a pair of men kidnap and lead Julian Fineman away. Lena, as instructed, follows them into underground subway tunnels that have long gone unused. Fineman is being led by body guards who are quickly murdered by the Scavengers.
