Summary
A full-page spread shows Sacco and Saburo wandering into a protest in East Jerusalem. Although they had not planned on covering the conflict that morning, they snap into journalist mode. The Palestinian crowd chants, “PLO! Israel, no!” (56) and protest the settlements. Saburo and Sacco capture images of the mob beating the crowd. Sacco meets a Palestinian photographer he knows who is interested in Sacco's photo of the violence for the news outlet he works for. Sacco is taken to their offices, but his developed photo turns out to be unsatisfactory.
Sacco and Saburo are hired by an information center interested in their interviews. They drive out to a Palestinian house surrounded by destroyed trees where a woman tells them a story about how the Israeli forces cut her six olive trees after an incident between a Palestinian and a settler...
