Summary
In Chapter 19, Hannah thought about Nate as she took a break from loading the sensors for Dominika. She had sensed he was uncomfortable on the last day they were together. Finishing her break, Hannah buried the last sensor on a slope near a road where Dominika would be able to load it traveling past in a car. To signal Dominika that the sensors were loaded, Hannah spritzed a chemical from a bottle onto an iron fence near Dominika’s apartment. Two days later, Hannah got her first message from Dominika. Hannah noted that Dominika had finished her transmission with the proper “olga” (222) a name Nate said Dominika had chosen herself.
