Summary
After being in Montana for 5 days, Catherine looks at her dirty hands and thinks that she should get her priorities straight. So she decides to call her fiance, David. The call does not go well, however, as the two have an argument. After hearing about her experience thus far, he looks at the project from a business perspective and tells her to be careful. He also raises the idea that maybe she got the job because she is a student. He doesn't say that being a woman has anything to do with her getting the assignment, but she believes that he implies it. She takes a combative stance and tells him that she got the assignment because of her experience in London which gave her the unique perspective of being in between an archaeological and a development project.
