Summary

In Chapter 25, on Valentine’s Day, Lara Jean gets to school early hoping to surprise Peter with his Valentine. Instead, she discovers he is already there. He is talking to Genevieve with his hands on her shoulders. She is listening and nodding her head. Lara Jean wonders if there really is something making Genevieve sad or if it is just an act.

When Genevieve sees Lara Jean, she says something to Peter and walks away. Peter walks over to Lara Jean and picks her up to hug her. She demands her Valentine and he first hands her a slip of paper with a poem. Lara Jean claims it is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for her. He next hands her a velvet jewelry box with a heart pendant necklace inside.
