Summary

Eight-year-old Jeremiah Ziaty was excited when he heard about the soccer program. He loved the sport. He had been cooped up in his apartment for months. Tryouts were held at the Clarkston Community Center. Like Jeremiah, many of the refugee boys were tired of being cooped up in their small apartments and turnout was great. Refugee parents were eager to get their kids involved because they knew they needed to run and play like other children. Jeremiah made the team.
