Chapters 16-18 Summary
Bookends. Father Tim takes Dooley with him to breakfast at the Grill. Later that day, Father Tim learns there is a definite deal in the works with H. Tide. Father Tim goes home to tell Cynthia and she becomes irate on Father Tim's behalf. Father Tim finds himself thinking of the money he inherited from his mother, which is a little more than one hundred thousand. Still worried about his housing situation, Father Tim goes to Sweet Stuff for a napoleon, despite his diabetes. Winnie tells Father Tim that she has been offered nearly half her asking price, but that this company is the first to show interest. Father Tim urges her to wait thirty days to make a decision.
