Summary

In Chapter Five, Z walks into the woods and thinks about how being in Aysel’s house had felt like an escape. They wonder when their mother, Suzanna, had the time to cast the undead spell and why she did it. Z walks to the supermarket where they meet Elaine and a boy who ask for directions. Z returns to Mrs. Dunnigan’s apartment where she talks about how controversial Archie’s electroshock therapy is. Mrs. Dunnigan explains that some people are okay with it, while others want all werewolves to be registered and treated through the system. In the shower, Z loses a clump of their hair and thinks about how their body is falling apart. Mr. Weber calls and says he can put an invisibility hex on Z so she can look around the library while he keeps guard. They agree...
