Summary
In Chapter 16, Rachel tells readers about a conversation she had one night with Micah after he returned from rehab. When he came into her room and called her name, she pretended to be sleeping. When he continued to talk, however, she tried to connect with him. He's wanted to know whether she was mad at him. She denied that she was, but he didn't believe her. She asked him what was keeping him form sleeping and he ran off a list ranging from band related issues to his future and the fear that he would be stuck at home after finishing high school.
