Summary
In Chapter 6, Mrs. V takes Melody and Penny to the library on Thursday, a gray, rainy day. As Penny listens to a story, Melody looks at books. She realizes she is feeling angry because she wanted to attend camp so badly. She settles on a fantasy book about a man who gets miniaturized to the size of an ant. Melody becomes determined not to think about camp anymore. At home, Diane has gotten an email from the camp. A late cancellation created an opening for Melody. Melody needs a moment to work back from disappointment to excitement. She learns the session begins Monday. Melody's dad arrives home from work.
