Emma Thomas
Emma Thomas is a sophomore at Stanford. She is on the soccer team and is studying to be a doctor. Emma suffered abuse from her aunt, who nearly strangled her to death and from her alcoholic, promiscuous mother. As a kid in Weslyn she made two very good friends, Sara McKinley and Evan Mathews. When Emma left Weslyn two years previously, she left Evan severely beaten by her friend Jonathan. She wanted Evan to find happiness without her because she felt she would only bring him pain and suffering. The cost of choosing to live without the man she loved caused Emma to lose interest in enjoying life. She spends most of her time studying and playing soccer.
