Chapter 9

In Chapter 9, Feeling Again, Emma gets up late. She has had trouble sleeping due to the fact all that she could think about was Cole sleeping in the room across from her. Emma expects Peyton to arrive at any time to pick her up and packs her things in preparation. Cole is working on the puzzle and tells her that Peyton has went to Catalina for the day with Tom. Emma is stunned by this pronouncement and cannot hide it. She is panicking at the thought of spending another day with Cole. He assures her he is not insulted if she does not want to hang out with him and tells her he had plans to go surfing anyway. Emma calms down somewhat and joins him at the puzzle.
