Summary

Memorial Day weekend John heads to Montauk with friends for the first time. Mike and another guy named Colby are in charge of organizing the share house which will house dozens of people over the summer. John rides out to Montauk with Mike, Colby, Mike's boyfriend Shane, and another friend named Kirsten. They tell him about the Montauk hotspots and their friend Ashley who is also a housemate. Ashely is well-known in Montauk and helps the group skip the lines at the bars. Finally, the group arrives at the share house, called The Hive.

John feels Kicki's presence when he wakes up on his first morning at the Hive and begins to explore. Throughout the winter, John has looked forward to Montauk and believed that something will change that summer. That afternoon, some of the other housemates begin to arrive. John locks...
