Summary
In "Abyssal Zone," Leah could sense the tension between Matteo and Jelka and decided to tell them a story. She told them about walking along the beach with her father, and the way a jellyfish will die rapidly if it is washed up. Jelka snapped that she knows about jellyfish anatomy and Leah realized that it was the sort of story she would tell Miri. The crew was surprised by the amount of food that was stored on the vessel and spent their time in a state of inactive lethargy.
Miri receives a bill for their missed therapy sessions. She confronts Leah about their current situation but Leah refuses to consider seeing a doctor. After an unsuccessful attempt to reach the Centre, Miri spoons salt into a glass of water for Leah.
