Summary

Allison insists on staying to help out even though Karen tells her she can leave. Karen keeps up working, writing a sentimental statement about Bev, and spending a lot of time with Jacob in the afternoons. Four days before Allison is meant to depart, Dave calls Karen to ask if she would like to bring Jacob for dinner on the weekend. Karen says they have plans, so he asks if they can do brunch instead. Karen tells him they are busy, but both Jacob and Allison convince her to allow it. Karen reasons that at least Allison will be able to go too, which will take some of the pressure off her.
