Christina Delbanco

Christina is one of the four juniors on the yearbook staff. She is one of the people responsible for writing everything that ends up in the yearbook. She is also a member of the varsity swim team. She has dated her boyfriend, Ryan, for about two years. Their relationship is unhappy and they breakup midway through the novel.

During the school shooting, Christina was in French class and saw no actual violence. She is the only witness to the early minutes of the Ndolo house fire, having seen it on her way home from throwing a rock through her ex-boyfriend’s window. The school shooting more than the house fires appears to impact Christina because a good friend from the swim team was one of the students killed.
