Summary
A newspaper article informing the public of a third deadly house fire comprises Chapter 21. The mother of a freshman student killed during the school shooting were killed in a fire the Thursday night after the massacre. At the time the article is published the fate of the other family member is unknown. St. Louis has issued a curfew aiming to keep people off the streets after sundown.
Chapter 22 is a short profile for the boy whose mother was just killed in the third house fire. As he was just a freshman, not much about was known of Benji Ndolo’s life. The chapter includes not only what little is known about him, but what his mother was seen doing in the minutes before her death.
