Ivy
Ivy is one of the main characters and a primary narrator throughout most of the novel. At the beginning, Ivy feels that Dana is emotionally distant. This eventually builds into resentment, especially when Ivy comes to suspect that Dana is capable of using magic. Once Ivy meets Marion and opens the golden box that Dana sealed Ivy’s memories in, she learns that she is actually a powerful witch capable of influencing dreams and, occasionally, using them to affect the waking world. While Ivy is able to save Dana and Fee from Marion’s sleeping curse, she struggles to fully forgive Dana and acknowledges that it will be some time before they are able to fix their relationship.
