Summary
Chapter 15 starts with Dana's story. She enjoyed summer with Fee and Marion, but her father was dying. She told herself that their magic was just for fun, even as they cast darker spells with personal consequences. Meanwhile, Marion was obsessed with the writer of the occult book, Astrid, and said people always blamed powerful women for terrible things.
Dana recalls causing a tire to pop on a car that nearly ran her over as she realized her magic was dangerously volatile. Then, the girls made a love spell, even as Marion dismissed Fee's concerns that the feelings would not be real. As they started it, Fee’s crucifix necklace burned her.
After that, Dana and Fee look for other teachers of magic. Fee thrived with herbs and, over time, Fee and Dana pulled away from Marion. When she did visit, she...
