House on the Hill
The House on the Hill is a symbol of power. Although Senderovsky's property is home to many residences, the House on the Hill is the most prominent and grand. Senderovsky and his family stay in the house, thus illustrating their authority over the other guests. In Act 3, Chapter 5, when the Actor demands that Senderovsky's family stay in the Petersburg cottage so he and Dee can stay in the house, Senderovsky agrees. This shift illustrates the Actor's power over Senderovsky.
The Colony
The bungalow colony symbolizes community. Senderovsky has planned and developed the property so it resembles a European village. Over the course of the first four months of the pandemic, the colony does indeed become a small town realm.
