Summary

Chapter Six opens as Zoey stops Mac and asks if he works at a restaurant. Mac says he works at Popcorn. Mac is pleased and embarrassed to find out that Charlotte has noticed his cooking. Zoey asks about Lizbeth and Lucy and Mac says they did not like each other. Mac tells Zoey that Roscoe Avanger was responsible for the renovation of the Dellawisp. He also tells her that Avanger has another published book called Dancing with the Dellawisps that is about his renovation of the apartments. Frasier illustrated it.

That night, Mac returns from work and feels he is being watched. He waves at Zoey, who is sitting on her balcony. After going inside and petting his rescue cat, Mac hears a sound outside and looks out the window to see a shadow moving near Charlotte’s apartment. Mac will not sleep...
