Summary
In Chapter 45, when Martín learned that Valdespino had taken the prince out of the palace and that the two had left their phones in the safe, she commented to Garza that it appeared Valdespino had taken Julían as a hostage. Meanwhile, Fonseca got a call informing him that it was believed Langdon and Ambra were on Kirsch’s plane headed to Barcelona. The unidentified caller ordered Fonseca to find Ambra and bring her back to the palace by force if needed. The caller asked Fonseca to limit the collateral damage but that Langdon would be an “acceptable casualty” (317).
