Chapters 11 and 12 Summary
Back at the Icove residence, Dallas and Peabody go over the crime again. The tray of fruit and cheese untouched in the office still bothers Dallas. She is convinced that only the killer would have brought it up, and must have cared for Icove to some degree to have done so. Dallas notices that the bathroom seems small for the house and discovers an old panic room. Since Roarke is closer than EDD, she calls him in to help her find the entry point. While they wait, Dallas confirms Avril's alibi. She calls Morris and learns that Icove had a mild sedative and a blocker in his system when he died, making him groggy, but not unconscious. Roarke arrives and quickly finds the release for the panic room door opening up a high security office containing inner and outer surveillance and...
