Summary
Jamike eventually persuades Chinonso to visit Ndali at the pharmacy where she works. However, Chinonso sees at the pharmacy that a sign lists Ndali’s name as Ndali Enoka, apparently indicating that she has married someone. Chinonso flees before Ndali sees him. Eventually, Chinonso returns to the pharmacy and speaks with Ndali directly. Ndali is shocked to see Chinonso. She acts panicked, and she clearly recognizes him. However, she says aloud that she has no idea who he is. Chinonso gives her the written account of his time in Cyprus, and then he leaves the pharmacy. In Chapter 23, Chinonso hopes that Ndali will read the letter and contact him. On the letter, he wrote a phone number where he can be contacted.
