Summary
Seeking advice about her many professional predicaments, Belle consults a now-distant friend from college, Elizabeth, who is a successful businesswoman with a straight-forward, no-nonsense personality. Elizabeth is not sympathetic to Belle's issues with gender in the workplace, and Elizabeth says that she only hires men or gay women, believing that this practice means that issues of gender do not arise within her company.
Belle also hassles Kathryn for advice, hurriedly following Kathryn on her walk home from work. Kathryn hypothesizes that Henry is privately selling short on Feagin Dixon (meaning: Henry would stand to profit if Feagin Dixon begins to collapse).
