The Photographer

The photographer is one of two main characters. He is a young man who is never named in the novel. For the sake of clarity in this guide, he is referred to as the photographer. His exact age is never revealed. He has a brother who is five years younger who is currently studying at the university. The photographer is a highly emotional individual. He is trying to cope with the grief of his grandmother's recent death. He is struggling with heavy emotions from all sorts of situations in his life and does not know where he fits in this world and society. His emotional state spirals out of control after witnessing the murder of a man named Daniel. The photographer had encountered Daniel several times recently and felt a kinship. Daniel's death seems to accentuate the fact that life is fragile.
