Chapter 8 Summary

Leslie is at thew controls of the seaplane and asks Pye why they landed at the places where Richard was with his fighter plane and Leslie was at the piano. Pye lets her figure it out. Those were both situations where they had to make important choices. Pye basically tells Leslie that they are responsible for those choices.

Richard comments that he's the one with the interest in things like ESP and out-of-body experiences but that it is Leslie that has the gift of intuition. He asks Pye where ideas come from and she gives him navigation instructions, which he follows and lands in a flame filled place. A woman comes to them and gives them hard hats. She tells them to call her Tink.

Tink gives them a tour of the place where they are at, explaining how the ingots are made...
