Chapters 5-6 Summary
Pye tells Leslie that there is no chart of map that they can use. The only thing they can use is their intuition. They just have to find the level within themselves that knows everything. Leslie closes her eyes and gives it a try, and then tells Richard to turn right and then to descend. He continues to navigate following her instructions until they land. They end up in an old stone house where a girl is playing the piano. A woman appears who is Leslie's mother. She doesn't hear Leslie. The girl wants to be a pianist but her mother says that there is no future in it. She sent her daughter's picture to New York where she was accepted by a modeling agency but the girl doesn't want to go to New York. The girl sees Leslie and begins...
