SFAX
SFAX is a new form of financial software released by Ed’s company, Mayfly, and signals the beginning of his legal troubles and a moral awakening. SFAX is a payment system where people who use the system pay a small fee to use it. Wanting to get rid of Deanna, Ed tells Deanna to invest in stocks in SFAX, and gives her money to do so. This brings allegations of insider trading.
SFAX is frowned upon by Jess and Tanzie, as they explain to Ed that paying to use a system to pay others means they will have less money to buy clothes and food. This causes Ed to reconsider his priorities in programming, and to create a new financial management program that will be given to people for free.
