Summary

Chapter 17: Jess – Jess is stunned that she has been fired, but does her best to put it out of her mind by tending to the sickened Ed. Ed thanks her profusely for taking care of him as she puts him to bed. The next morning, Ed feels much better. Jess continues to take care of him, such as making him drink salty water.

Chapter 18: Ed – Ed, Jess, Nicky, Tanzie, and Norman the dog decide to spend the night at The Stag and Hounds Bed & Breakfast which welcomes dogs. The place is so dated that Nickey finds it cool. Ed is amazed that places like the Stag still exist. Ed speaks by phone with Paul Wilkes later in the evening to reveal the police have discovered no obvious motive for insider information on Ed’s part, and no evidence he made any money from the...
