Chapter Twenty-one

In Chapter Twenty-one, Merrin wakes up with a start. She notices she has a message on her cuff. It is Elias. He says that he will not be around for awhile. Although it is only 4 a.m., she drives to Elias’ house. He isn’t there but has left a note for her to find. When she reads it, she knows that he has gone to the Hub. Merrin is angry because she knows that Elias has been taken to the Hub because he lied to protect her. Just as she is wondering who will disappear next, Merrin gets a call from Leni. Leni asks if everything is okay, saying that Daniel got a strange message from Elias. Merrin asks Leni and Daniel to meet her at her house. As she goes for some cash saved up from summer...
