Chapter Seventeen

In Chapter Seventeen, Elias tells Merrin to follow him down a hallway in a few minutes. When they meet up, he tells her that he has something he wants to show her. He takes her to a huge room with two running tracks, two swimming pools, simulation stations and a vaulted five-foot high ceiling. He explains it is the testing arena for the Supers. Merrin asks Elias how long he had been coming to the Hub and wonders why he never told her about his visits before now. She suddenly realizes that she has been keeping secrets from him as well.
