Summary
Chapter Fifteen
In Chapter Fifteen, Merrin’s father and mother drives her and her brothers to the Biotech Hub for the Symposium. Because she left Mr. Hoffman so quickly during their last session and hasn’t heard from him since, Merrin is afraid this may be the last time she may be allowed in the Hub. Elias meets up with Merrin. They walk down a hallway where a picture of Charlie Fisk, Julian’s son, hangs. Elias tells Merrin that the boy died of cancer before his powers developed.
Elias takes the twins while Merrin visits all of the Biotech booths. She wonders briefly how he knows his way around the hub so well. When they meet back up, Merrin makes Elias go with her to a presentation about gene malleability. The film gives Merrin hope that one day she and...
