Knox Myers
Knox Myers is a junior at Bayview High. He is one of the narrators in the novel. Knox becomes the unexpected hero of the novel, demonstrating that even boys who are not athletically oriented are capable of doing great things. At the beginning of the novel, Knox is at odds with his father because he believes his father would prefer a son like Nate, who is better with tools. Knox was hurt because his father hired Nate and never even asked Knox if he was interested in working in the family business.
