Poems 51 - 79, Letters 5 - 9: Summary
Ruby is about to log off her computer when a picture flashes up of her and Whip which reads "Whip's Wild Child." The idea that there are pictures of her on the internet is weird to Ruby. Ruby doesn't want Whip to take her to school on the first day, but he insists. She really didn't want anyone to know who her father is. His license plate reads, "Rubyzdad." Everyone at school falls all over Whip trying to make him happy. They thank him for his donation and for volunteering at the school. They ignore Ruby. Ruby is shocked by the classes offered (Steven Spielberg films and Aromatherapy class), and she is shocked by the students and what they wear. Describing it as being on MTV and saying only skanks wear those outfits where she is from...
