Drew 'Silver' Silver
Drew Silver, or Silver, is a former member of the rock and roll band, Bent Daisies, and co-author of their one hit song, Rest in Pieces. During the height of the band’s success, Silver made mistakes that led to the destruction of his marriage. In the aftermath, Silver has come to reside at a depressing apartment building that is a known refuge to men fleeing shattered marriage and to participating in medical trials to make money. It is a sad existence that Silver admits has left him without much feeling for many years.
Shortly after learning his daughter is pregnant, his eighteen year old, bound for Princeton, daughter, Silver has a small stroke that reveals an aneurysm in his heart. Silver needs lifesaving surgery, but he refuses. Silver decides that there is not enough of his life that he would be willing to fight for...
