Summary

In Chapter 11, August and her roommates concoct a plan to save Pancake Billy’s; they decide to raise money to buy the diner’s building by throwing a drag show at Delilah’s. August immerses herself in the fight to save the iconic diner from gentrification. One night, when August answers her mother’s phone call, Suzette tells her that her grandmother died and left her a large sum of money.
