Summary

In Chapter 1, August moves to New York and finds a room to rent in a Brooklyn loft. She is initially skeptical of moving into an apartment with Niko, Myla, and Wes, who live in the other rooms in the loft. August moved to New York to finish her degree and thought the metropolis city would allow her to disappear into her schoolwork.
