Summary

In Chapter 11, Katy heads out for a hike up the Path of the Gods. Carol eventually catches up to her, saying she saw Katy pass her window. When Katy invites her to breakfast, Carol says she has a project she is working on. She is presenting a design proposal to the Sirenuse hotel: the most luxurious hotel in Positano. Carol says she dreams of becoming an interior designer. Katy realizes she is watching her mother come into her own.

Katy returns to the hotel to find a message from Adam in Chapter 12. She meets him on the terrace for a buffet-style lunch. Katy tells him about her hike and about Carol. She asks Adam to show her around Positano.

In Chapter 13, Katy meets Adam in the hotel after a shower. Adam compliments her outfit. He takes her to see the Church of Santa...
