Myron Bolitar

Myron Bolitar is the main character in One False Move, by Harlan Coben. Myron, a former almost-pro basketball star owns MB SportsReps. As a sports agent, Myron is contacted by Norm Zuckerman, the CEO of Zoom, a sports merchandising company. Zuckerman wants Myron to protect Brenda Slaughter from anonymous threats. Myron is unwilling at first, but as Slaughter does not have an agent, he agrees to help.

Myron spends time with Brenda, growing close to her quickly. Their relationship starts out as a friendship, but the two quickly become closer, and Myron begins to fall in love with her. Matters are complicated by the relationship that Myron has with Jessica Culver, his live-in girlfriend. Though Myron loves Jessica, they have had problems in the past. Myron wants the proverbial r marriage, children and a future. Jessica is in no rush, and seems to fear commitment.
