Summary

In Chapter 37, narrated by Liz, Tiger’s scream wakes up the others. Danny arrives, but does not have his key. He tells Tiger and Ani he cannot help them if they do not open the door. When Tiger opens the door, she says that she thinks Ani is dead.

In Chapter 38, narrated by Erin, Erin confirms Ani is dead and notices petechiae, red dots made by broken blood vessels, on Ani’s face. She tells Danny she thinks that Ani was smothered. She does not want to believe that Tiger killed Ani, but at the same time, she wonders how anyone could have snuck into the room and killed Ani without waking Tiger.

Downstairs, when Erin updates the group on her suspicion, Liz comments that Ani knew something. She says she tried to get Ani to tell her, but she refused to do...
